Everyone has the right to work in a comfortable environment free from harassment; unfortunately that isn’t always the case. While no one wants to be perceived as a workplace snitch, if you’re being harassed in any manner by a co-worker you should tell your boss immediately.

If your boss is the perpetrator of said harassment, speak to someone in HR as soon as possible. If you’re afraid that there will be repercussions for filing a grievance you can rest easy; there are laws in every state that protects employees from being retaliated against for filing grievances.
